The weather is warming up and with countless seasonal events along the lake in both McHenry county and Lake county, there is no better place to enjoy the sunny weather than on the Chain O’Lakes!
Luckily, we have put together a list of great events along the Chain O’Lakes that you cannot miss. So, get your calendar out and start planning to make 2017 a summer you will never forget.
Blarney Island Boat Races
Every Thursday evening from June 1 – August 31, 2017
Drag boat racing from Memorial Day – Labor Day.
The racecourse length is approximately 800 feet and located on the open waters of Grass Lake in Lake County.

Fox Lake Triathlon
Sunday, June 4, 2017 beginning at 7:00 AM
Start off with a 1 K swim followed by a 20 K bicycle ride and completed with a 5 K run.
The swim begins on the Chain O’Lake shores of Nippersink Lake in Fox Lake.
Ride your bike from Fox Lake to Chain O’Lakes State Park.
The run will lead you through downtown and rolling hills of both Lake County and McHenry County.
The race is ABR (American Bicycle Racing) certified.
Helmets are a MUST!

Algonquin Summer Concert Series
Every Thursday evening from June 22 – August 17, 2017 at 7:30 PM
Enjoy a FREE concert by the Fox River in McHenry County.
There will be a new food truck every weekend.

Venetian Night

The Village of Fox Lake is collaborating with Dockers Restaurant in Lake County.
Lit up venetian-style boat parade starts at 7:30 pm.
Firework show on the lake begins at 9:30 pm.
